Introduction
Martin Cahill is a Research Associate and Doctoral Candidate at Manchester Business School. Martin is a member of a team tasked with designing and constructing arguably the world’s first government Knowledge Management system (TALK) using the latest in Social Computing and Web 2.0 technologies. Prior to this project Martin co-authored the Change Management Toolkit for the UK National CRM Programme and directed thinking into the related concept of Government Reputation. He has also undertaken various research and consultancy engagements for a number of local authorities and private sector organisations including Salford City Council (co-author of SPRINT v4), Leeds City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Lancashire Police and Vodafone, focusing primarily on business process reengineering, change management, customer relationship management, knowledge management, and innovation in the public sector. He lectures at master’s level in Manchester Business School and is committed to applied research and knowledge transfer. He has published and presented in both academic and practitioner conferences in areas of Public Sector Reform and Knowledge Management. Martin is a member of the Association of Information Systems.
